What a New School Year Looks Like | Tucson Photographer

We are already back to school and through 2 weeks of it! I cant’ believe I have a 3rd grader, where has the time gone? Our summer was short and flew by way to fast, I can’t believe it is already over. Carter is sad to see her go back to school, it was hard for him to say goodbye to her when we dropped her off.
The weekend before school Brooklyn decided to chop off 10 inches of hair and donate it to locks of love, I am so proud of her! We also did some school shopping that weekend which is always the highlight of Brooklyn’s new school year. She has had a great start of a new school year, I’m so proud of her!

What Turning Four Looks Like | Tucson Photographer, Phoenix Children’s Photographer

It’s time for our what _____ looks like project this month. I LOVE this project because it challenges me to photograph my family each month. And I always try to include a family picture in it which was one of my goals for 2012. This month my baby turned 4, I can hardly believe it. He has been requesting a spider man party for quite some time now so of course I couldn’t disappoint. He had a wonderful party in Phoenix with all of his cousins. His cake was made by Cassy from Cassy’s Cakes, isn’t it awesome?
Here are all the detail shots of his birthday. You can see his awesome cake and our prize basket. I love the one in the bottom right of his favorite cousin over his shoulder checking out his loot. It was so cute how excited they were for all the spider man presents.

We played lots of fun spider man games. We played bingo, pin the spider on spider man, a ball toss, and did a pinata. And HUGE thanks to my brother in laws for their participation. They dressed up as “bad guys” and the kids all got to use their webs (aka silly string) to capture them, it was so much fun!

What Easter Looks Like | Tucson Family Photographer

We celebrated Easter in Tucson this year and had a great Sunday. We have a tradition of hiding the kids baskets and they have to find them when they wake up. Then we did an Easter egg hunt in the backyard to find toys that the bunny left. After that I made a yummy breakfast of ebleskivers. Ebleskivers are a danish pancake that you make in a cast iron ebelskiver pan. My Aunt use to make them growing up, and we loved them. So my Mom bought us daughters an ebleskiver pan before we moved out. Now I get to continue my Aunts tradition of making ebelskivers, they are delicious!!! After breakfast we went to church and enjoyed a nice dinner with friends. We had a great Easter Sunday!

What a Spring Break Zoo Trip Looks Like | Tucson Family Photographer

We had such a wonderful spring break. My daughter gets two weeks off and we spent it with not stop fun. We went to Phoenix the first week to photograph my new nephew and spend time with family. Then this week we stayed in Tucson to play with friends. We had a movie day, shopping fun, zoo day and Peter Piper lunch date. I love when the kids are home and there is no school, its so fun just to enjoy our time together. I am looking forward to summer break already!
We had a zoo date with several friends. The kids had so much fun and loved seeing all the animals! I got lots of pictures of them with their friends and checking out the animals, I even imagined to get a picture of myself!

What Family Smores Night Looks Like |Tucson Family Photographer

It is time again for our “What ______ looks like” project. This is one of my favorite projects I am involved with because it challenges me to take more pictures of my sweet family. I made a resolution for 2012 to be in more of my family pictures, and you will see I always try to include myself in at least one of our project pictures.
For Christmas a couple years ago, I got Mike a small fire pit. We have loved having it to do smores nights. Although I love eating healthy, anyone who knows me know Marshmallows are my weakness. And roasting marshmallows is one of my FAVORITE treats in the world. I just love a good roasted marshmallow. We have so much fun as a family going out and sitting around the fire. And of course the yummy treats are an added bonus. I am so grateful for my sweet little family, and nights like this just remind me how lucky I am!

What our 6th Annual New Years Eve Party Looks Like | Phoenix Family Photographer

6 years ago, my awesome Brother and Sister in Law decided to throw a family New Years Eve Party. Well…6 years later it is still going strong. It is honestly our FAVORITE family Holiday of the year. We have SO much fun, and every year they surprise us with new fun activities. Some things never change like the annual polar bear swim (I must be honest, I have never done this, cold water doesn’t appeal to me), our white elephant gift exchange, and late night games. But new things are always added to keep it fun. My Sister in Law is an amazing hostess and does such a great job decorating and planning for our party. After we ring in the new year, we all crash at their house and wake up to a yummy breakfast. We are so lucky to have such awesome family, I am looking forward to many more years of our tradition.

This year, something fun they added was a carnival for the kids. They had a popcorn machine, bouncer, carnival games, face painting, prizes, and horse back riding. The kids loved all of it, especially the horses!!!

Thank goodness my husband is an artist, he did a great job painting all the kids faces.

The gift exchange was great this year. My Dad put is some awesome ASU stuff that all the boys wanted, it was the coveted gift this year. We all went home with some pretty good stuff. Then we did fireworks (thanks to Papa), it was perfect for the kids. Next was the crazy polar bear swim, great job guys! Unfortunately my husband had bronchitis this year so it was his first year he couldn’t do it but 4 of the others did it! And we ended with toasting the New Year with our yummy Martenelli from Trader Joes. It was another fabulous year and we can’t wait til the next one!

What Christmas Looks Like | Tucson Natural Light Photographer

It’s time again for our what __ looks like project. Each month we take pictures of our families and fill in the blank. This month, with Christmas just passing, I decided to show what Christmas looks like at the Moore household. We had such a fun weekend with lots of Christmas festivities like decorating Christmas ornaments, opening Christmas Eve pajamas, writing letters to Santa (which I loved my daughters this year), reading Twas the Night Before Christmas, and leaving our annual pound cake for Santa. Christmas is my absolute most favorite day of the year and I HATE how fast it goes. I wish Christmas could last longer, I just love it! I am so grateful for my sweet little family, the Holiday’s wouldn’t be the same without the love of my life and my adorable kids. We had so much fun watching their faces as they opened all their Christmas presents. After we were done, my son said ” I am so lucky”. That just melted my heart to hear that, they are the best!

What Thanksgiving With My Family Looks Like|Family Photographer in Tucson

Growing up I thought of a lot of reasons why it would benefit me to have less siblings. Now before you think I am mean, remember I was young and had 4 sisters that I shared everything with. Clothes, shoes, books, toys, everything was handed down and passed around. And I also had one brother who loved to tease his 5 sisters. Although we had lots of fun together, I didn’t realize how important family was until I got older. Now I couldn’t imagine my life without each and every one of them. Holiday’s are so much fun with my family. There are 14 adults and 10 (soon to be 12) grand kids and so it is loud, crazy and fun. We celebrated Thanksgiving this year at my parents house. It was a great day and I am so grateful for each and every one of them in my life!

My parents have a nice long driveway and LOTS Of bikes and scooters to ride. Even the adults were riding around on the bikes. I am sad to say that I was sore the next day after riding around, it has been too long since I have been on a tricycle!

Anyone who knows me knows my love for Adam Levine. Apparently it must run in my blood because we were all outside and “Moves like Jagger” came on the radio and it turned into a big dance party.

My Dad has always been the photographer in our family. So once I became a photographer, it officially became my role. I am happy to do it because now we actually have pictures of him. The first one is of him deep frying the turkey. I didn’t eat any but from what I heard he did a fabulous job!

It’s so much fun watching my kids doing the same things at my parents house that we did we were younger. We spent so much time walking on this wall and now the grand kids love doing the same thing.
