I always say how blessed I am to have such a successful business. But it wasn’t until I was putting my favorite images together that I realized just how blessed I am. I had a WONDERFUL 2011 year in business. I had so many amazing clients in Memphis, Tucson and Phoenix. I photographed several adorable newborn babies, lots and lots of wonderful families, such beautiful high school seniors, gorgeous couples and amazing weddings. I know that without my clients I wouldn’t have a business, I appreciate them more than they know.
I put together a few collages of my favorite images I took in 2011. Looking through these helps me realize just how lucky I am!

Senior picture time is upon us! I love photographing gorgeous Seniors, they are so much fun. I think it’s so important that Seniors get photos done to preserve those memories. Senior pictures season is upon us. The inquires for senior sessions have started rolling in and I am super excited because I LOVE taking Senior photographs. From what I have scoped so far, there are some great locations here in Tucson for Senior pictures. We will have some fun places to choose from. The weather is starting to cool off so here are some ideas for what to wear here in Tucson during your senior session. One of the outfits looks like a summer outfit, but remember tights and a cardigan can always turn a spring or summer outfit into a cute winter senior outfit.
Have you heard of the website polyvore? I got all of my images from polyvore for this what to wear post. It is the best site because it shows you awesome outfits and inspiration and where to find the clothing.
Once you book your session with me, we will discuss what you will wear in more detail. I will give you some ideas and even help you shop or go through your closet for the best choices. The great thing about Tucson is it doesn’t get too cold here, so light layering is perfect for your senior pictures!

It’s week 44 of our 52 week project. That means that we are down to 8 more weeks, I can hardly believe it. The Holiday’s are coming and it is busy time for me here in Tucson, but I am still chugging along with this project.
This week our theme is face. I was going to do a pretty close up picture of one of my clients, but then I decided I needed a something light hearted and funny this week. This is not only a client but also my cousin, he is the best Senior ever. And because he is family I can put his Senior session “outtake” picture on my blog. My sister came with me to his Senior session and we were being so goofy and laughing a lot, and at one moment this is the face Dane gave me. He probably didn’t realize that his mean older cousin would actually put it on her blog. But hey, that’s what family is for. It’s the price you pay for having family take your Senior pictures.

I recently posted a sneak peek of Maya’s Senior pictures. I wanted to post her full session because I had so much fun working with her and she is so beautiful. We did her photo shoot in the Barrio area, in downtown Tucson. The color there is so much fun, it made for some fun bright photographs. Then we headed over to the University of Arizona campus to finish up her senior photographs. She brought a few changes of clothes and also wanted to bring her uniform for some athletic pictures. Maya was such a fun Senior to work with, I really enjoyed her!

This is my favorite Senior boy ever. I am totally partial because Dane is my cousin, but seriously he rocks. I was so excited when my Uncle asked me to take his Senior pictures. We had so much fun together, I swear we just laughed the whole time. These were not taken in Tucson but we took his pictures on their property in Prescott where he is from and where a lot of my family lives. The area was beautiful, it was perfect for Senior portraits. Dane is one of the most fun, well rounded Senior boys I know. As you can tell by the picture, he is super athletic. He lettered in 7 sports!!! I didn’t even know that was possible? I told him to go get something to represent each of the sports he lettered in. The only thing he doesn’t have is something for diving, I couldn’t convince him to get his speedo!!! I asked him if he could juggle all the balls and he did it! Like I said, he is one of the most talented boys I know. And for fun we decided to end the session with a back flip, it was his final trick!!!

I am so glad that I live back in AZ so I can be close to family and do things like this!

I had the chance to photograph Maya last weekend here in Tucson. We met in the Barrio, which is an awesome neighborhood in downtown Tucson with lots of bright doors and great buildings. Then we headed to U of A to finish up her Senior Pictures. Of course everyone in Tucson has to get their pictures at U of A, right? She is a beautiful girl with a lot going for her. I always have so much fun with Seniors, they listen to direction so well and really shine in their photographs. This is a quick sneak peek for Maya, I will post the rest of her gorgeous pictures soon.

I LOVE photographing seniors. I know I say it all the time but it’s worth repeating, seniors are one of my favorite subjects. I just posted pictures last week from some seniors I photographed in Phoenix, we had a blast. Why do I love photographing them so much? Because they listen to me, they love to be in front of the camera, and they have the funnest style. I always tell my seniors, your clothing choices are what “make” your photos. You want to choose something fun, fashionable, and true to your personality. I have started getting inquiries in Tucson for senior photos, so I thought it was time to post a what to wear guide for senior girls. When we book our session, we will spend lots of time talking about your clothing choices. I will even come to your house if you need help deciding. We can shop online together, what ever you need help with I am here. I love layering, accessories, and color. I always bring a bag of some accessories for my senior girls to put on if they want. The more dolled up they are, the more confident they feel! Here are a few examples of some outfits you could wear. Seniors get to have clothing changes so it’s fun to do something casual, something dressy and some other options too. Also if you play a sport or have any hobbies, I love incorporating that into your photographs too.
