Fifty-Two on Friday (Week 52) | Pheonix Family Photographer
The day has finally come, I can’t believe it. It is week 52 of our project. I started this project with hopes of growing as a photographer and challenging myself in new ways. Well I can officially say, after 52 weeks I feel like I have grown so much. I am so thankful for what this project has forced me to learn and do. This week or theme is Resolution which is fitting with the new year approaching. I have resolved that 2012 will be my year of taking more family pictures. I hope to take at least one family picture a month and put it on the blog. I am sad to say that although last year I took a lot of pictures, I wasn’t in very many of them. So this year my resolution is to set my self timer and take more family pictures. Thanks to the projects I belong to, I have a few from 2011 but I want more. I want to be a part of my families memories.

And here is a recap of some of my favorite images from our 2011 52 week project!

Fifty-Two on Friday (Week 51) | Tucson Wedding Photographer
There is only ONE MORE week of our 52 week project. I can’t believe we are at the end of the year. Next year we are doing our project a little bit different and a lot more creative so be sure to check back in January to see our new project. This week our theme was candy. I love photographing Wedding reception’s that have candy bars, I think it’s such a fun concept. The wedding colors at this wedding were purple so they did such a great job of doing a candy bar with purple candies. It was perfect and looked awesome with all the decor at the party.

Fifty-Two on Friday (Week 50) | Tucson Senior Portrait Photographer
It’s Friday which means it’s another week of 52 on Friday. Our theme for week 50 is this is the season. The Holiday season is my absolute favorite time of the year for so many reasons. I love the decor, the happiness in the air, the music, all the giving that is going on, shopping and everything else that this season brings with it. This is a great time of the year for me to reflect on Christ’s birth and the blessing it has been in my life and my families life. This time of the year always reminds me of the blessings I have because of my Savior’s life.
For my picture this week I decided to use the bokeh on my Christmas tree!!!

It’s December, where has 2011 gone? This year has just flown by and the project has gone by too quickly. It has been so much fun challenging myself each week with a new theme. Next year our project will be a little different and a lot more challenging so you will have to come back to follow it.
Our theme this week was red. I decided to photograph an ornament on the tree. But this is not just any ornament, this is the family coveted ornament this year. The kids just love Mike’s geebee airplane. They argued over who got to put it on the tree this year. Mike has a little fun collection of airplane ornaments. He was working on his pilot license when we met and after we got married he had to stop because it was too expensive. His Dad has a plane and is a pilot so the kids have grown to love planes. When they saw his ornaments they immediately saw the geebee and loved it.
Hope you enjoy the photograph of our little geebee as much as our family has!

Fifty-Two on Friday (Week 48) | Phoenix Family Photographer, Senior Photographer Tucson
It’s week 48 of our 52 week project. With the Holiday’s here it is a great time to reflect on what I am thankful for. So what a perfect week to have the theme thankful. I have SO many things to be grateful for in my life. Two healthy beautiful children, an amazingly supportive husband, a great job, a wonderful extended family and so much more. I truly am blessed and appreciate what I have. Those of you who have following my blog know that we have spent the last 6 years living in the South. We loved our time in Mississippi and Memphis, it was some of the best years of our lives. But while we were gone we both missed our families terribly. I come from a big family with lots of sisters and being away from them was so hard. So when we found out we would be back in AZ this year, we were beyond thrilled. Just in the past 4 months that we have been back, we have seen our family more times then I could count. We rarely have a weekend where we aren’t in Phoenix or one of them aren’t here staying with us. We are loving it and so grateful to have them close by again. I have been taking lots of pictures of the family now that we are around for all the Holiday festivities. Here is a recent pictures I took of me with my amazing sisters. As you can tell, the two sisters on the far left are pregnant and I am so excited to be able to take their newborn pictures in the spring! I am so blessed with an amazing family!

I can’t believe there are only 5 weeks left in the year, where is the time going? It is week 47 of our project and our theme this week is black. We have had fun doing a lot of other posts with color in the past. Black isn’t always the funnest color but it can really stand out and be bold in a picture. I took the picture with the other crayon colors to show the contrast.

It’s week 46 of our 52 week project. This week our theme is sky. I love the sunsets and sunrises in Tucson, they make the most gorgeous photographs!

Fifty Two on Friday (Week 45) | Children’s Photographs Tucson
It’s week 45 of our 52 week project. We have had some fun themes in the past! This week’s really got me thinking, it was little and big. I knew I wanted to incorporate the change in my kids from little to big so I started brainstorming. Luckily my “muse” is totally cooperative and is always so willing to help out with my projects. I can’t believe it has been 7 years since she was a newborn. She has grown way too fast and her holding this picture is just a reminder of how fast time has really flown. I really understand the importance of just slowing down and enjoying each day with your family and your sweet children. My baby is not a baby anymore.
