Fifty-Two on Friday (week 17)|Tucson AZ Family Photographer
It’s week 17 of our 52 week project. I can’t believe we are already 17 weeks in, time flies by so fast!!! This week our theme was light. Lighting is such an important aspect of photography. Being a natural light photographer, I rely on the sun to give me the light I need. For indoor sessions, like newborn sessions, I am constantly opening blinds and windows to get all the light in I can. But when we are outside, I love sunset pictures because you can get that beautiful sun flare. The other night when I was photographing this family, the sun was setting perfectly behind them and I was really able to use it in their pictures. I love how the sun is just coming in behind the trees and I got that glare on the bottom of the picture.

Now head over to my good friends site to see her gorgeous picture of light. Aubry Startin|Gilbert AZ Newborn Photographer
Featured On Rasp N Berrie|Tucson Children’s Photographer
Remember this sweet little face? Well I was super excited when Irina, of the new site Rasp N Berrie, contacted me to feature my photograph. Rasp N Berrie is a new “what to wear site.” They find photographs of outfits they love, and then feature them on the site. It is a resource for photographer’s to send their clients when they are asking “what should I wear?” You can see the feature here. There are some adorable outfits featured on the site, but this is one of my favorites.

Thanks for checking it out!

S Family Sneak Peek|Tucson Family Photographer
We had so much fun with this beautiful family Saturday in Collierville. I could tell, just in the little time we had together, that they have so much love for one another. They interacted so fun together, we were really able to get some great candid shots. The girls were so much fun, they would suggest poses to me which I loved. They are so fun and outgoing, seriously such a sweet family. I will post more of their session next week but for now here’s a quick sneak peek.

For all you photographer’s wondering, these frames are Volume 25′s new blog post templates. I love them because they are super easy and so cute.
Fifty-Two on Friday (Week 16)|Tucson Children’s Photographer
I can’t believe it’s almost Easter time, where has the time flown? We are super excited that after 6 years we will finally be able to spend next Easter (and several other Holiday’s) with family once we are in Tucson. We have loved having our own, we have grown so much as a family, but we are ready to be back with extended family. To celebrate Easter, our theme this week is pastel. I love pastel colors, they make me think of the spring time and flowers. I am so excited that it is starting to warm up. It has been a cold winter for my AZ blood and I’m ready for some heat. So this week for pastel I got the flowers, and took the kids out and shot. And for the photographer’s who want to know, I edited this picture with Jessica Drossin’s new Illumination textures!!!

Now head over to Jasmine Sargent’s blog to see her pastel picture. Jasmine Sargent|Hazen ND Children’s Photographer

Molly’s Sneak Peek |Tucson Senior Photographer
I had the chance to photograph this beautiful senior last night in Collierville. Her Mom and I work out at the gym together. I saw her wearing a University of Tucson shirt one day and started talking to her and found out she is from Tucson. Once we learned we were moving to Tucson she has given me lots of advice and been a great help for us. I was thrilled when she asked me to take her daughters senior pictures. Molly is a beautiful girl and we had a great time. I will post more soon, but here’s a sneak peek for her!

I am so excited for your future Molly, I know you have a fun first year of college ahead of you!
H Family Sneak Peak |Tucson Family Photographer
I had the chance to photograph this beautiful family on Saturday. I was thrilled when Jennifer contacted me about doing their family pictures. She is an awesome local photographer that I had never had the chance to meet. Like I have said before, I am always beyond flattered when photographer’s book me for their photography sessions. She had her family dressed perfectly and they picked an awesome location. I will post more later but wanted to share a few, I love the interactions we were able to capture of this great family!

Fifty-Two on Friday (Week 15)|Tucson AZ Photographer
It’s week 15 of our fifty-two on Friday project. This week’s theme was texture. I love finding texture in everyday objects when I am taking pictures. But I also love adding textures to my pictures when I process. I don’t do it very often but I love the look at feel of it on certain pictures, especially black and whites.
This was a picture taken at a senior session. I knew immediately after I took this picture that I would love it as a black and white. And then I knew I would love it even more with texture. So I started adding some of my favorite Florabella black and white textures to give it a little more of a dramatic look. Thanks to Jordan for being my model for this weeks fifty-two week project! You can check out last week’s theme of pink here. Or you can always go into categories and select Project 52 to see all of the past 14 themes!

You can now visit my friend Jasmine’s site to see how she photographed texture. Jasmine Sargent|Hazen Child Photographer Don’t forget to make the rounds and visit all 20 photographer’s to see everyone’s pictures!
